Discovering His Living Hope

A Journey Through God’s Holy Scriptures: Discovering A Living Hope

Welcome ALL to My Blog

Grace and Shalom to one and all in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. It has been said that Hope is where the heart is, whether it is in the world we live and move and have our being in or in the Kingdom of God where we Hope God is. My Identity is quite simply – I am a Child of God! I make zero claims to any earthly titles man would place upon me through my own accomplishments.

1 Corinthians 2:1-5 NRSV

Proclaiming Christ Crucified

When I came to you, brothers and sisters,[a] I did not come proclaiming the mystery[b] of God to you in lofty words or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified. And I came to you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling. My speech and my proclamation were not with plausible words of wisdom,[c] but with a demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might rest not on human wisdom but on the power of God.

I am only a Child of God, Saved by Grace through the Resurrection of Jesus Christ my only Savior. By the mercy of God, and through His Holy Scriptures to communicate a “Living Hope” (Romans 15:4) centered on a traditional understanding as well as interpretation of the Word of God for His Children. My fervent prayer is that you will be inspired not by my own wisdom but by God’s (Proverbs 3:5-8).

2 Corinthians 3:1-6 NRSV

Ministers of the New Covenant

Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Surely we do not need, as some do, letters of recommendation to you or from you, do we? You yourselves are our letter, written on our[a] hearts, to be known and read by all; and you show that you are a letter of Christ, prepared by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are competent of ourselves to claim anything as coming from us; our competence is from God, who has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not of letter but of spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

I fervently pray that as you let the Word of God, revealed through the ministry and works of the Holy Spirit, as God’s Hope is ministering to you through these devotions, they may become your hope, I that as pray you come to trust our God is ever more the wiser and loving. Unchangeable, Jesus Christ will remain our greatest Living Hope!
